It’s a war of attrition, just like WWI.

Ukraine was never going to win.  Just survive.  NATO and the US should keep funding them.  But giving them one weapons platform after another is probably not going to work.  Just make sure they don't run out of ordinance.  Enough planes so Russia doesn't have air superiority.  Slightly better tanks.  Artillery doesn't cost that much.  This is a fairly old-fashioned war, in spite of the newfangled hacks like drones, and using cellphone signals to home in on troops.

In retrospect, maybe it was inevitable once the WWII generation died off that we idiots would have to relearn the hard way that the way to deal with fascism is to stomp it to death while it’s still a baby snake, before it becomes an anaconda.

Yeah I think there are plenty of people who aren’t afraid of Russia taking back part of Ukraine and what may happen after as much as starting WWIII with NATO fuckery. Lot of hypocrisy on the NATO side that people overlook because of PDS.

Then, it took less than 6 months for Biden to suggest a Russian "minor incursion" into Ukraine, for which the military industrial complex is undoubtedly thankful.
Just get those F16s over there and admit Ukraine into NATO so we can get this thing started.

It’s certainly interesting that Trump seems to be the fulcrum for hatred of Putin vs lack thereof.

As someone who considers myself fairly apolitical, it makes sense to me why people with TDS react so viscerally to Putin. And vice versa.

As an American who tries to be objective, I’m failing to understand what Putin is doing that’s markedly worse than what the leaders of the US do on a regular basis, but I’m willing to listen and learn.
