In spite of everything the Dems said to oppose HR2 it was a stand alone border bill. It didn't address Ukraine funding, which has more to do with pushing the current Senate multi-pronged bill than immigration does. They want you to think it's an immigration bill. It's a Ukraine funding bill.

Point taken.  Ukraine may be driving the train but it's still a border bill as well.  Plus, whatever losses Ukraine incurs while our aide is paused, will be lain at the feet of the knuckleheads.  Sleepy Joe winning again?

He could have shut it down any day between his inauguration til now.

His new found ability to shut the border down would probably last a few days, until the specified daily average that is in the bill is reached. Then the border opens again.
