The Twitter, the Facebook, the Google and the Federal Government were actively involved in shedding light on the laptop issue and the origin of Covid because sunlight is the best disinfectant. Lol

 The right wing falsely dismissed that theory when the NYT and / or WaPo admitted some of the content was authenticated.

A Russian disinfo plot would have included authentic material.

It could also be a Giuliani disnfo plot?

Aren't there major chain of evidence issues?

The FBI had verified the authenticity of the laptop over 6 months before they started peddling the theory that the laptop may be Russian disinfo to Twitter, Facebook and Google for them to do the suppressing.

I’m not invested one way or the other but think it’s of utmost importance that we figure it out. The left seems content to push the natural origins theory and leave it at that. The right seems to want to at least entertain the idea that it had lab leak origin and to keep pushing investigation. I mean, if it killed millions, why isn’t this priority number one? Trying to kill the debate without conclusive data is sus, as the kids say.

I’m to the point where I don’t really trust much of anything. Which a lot more rational than hand selecting some new sources that typically post things that agree with my existing worldview and trumpeting those as the Real Truth.

They didn't have to, or need to, know squat.
Apparently it was Blinken who got the ball rolling and the 51 signed on without knowing anything other than what they were being asked to do, but it was Biden who said the 51 said it was disinfo.
He didn't say it had the earmarks of disinfo. He said it was on a nationally televised debate.
Everything served it's purpose.
