Abbe Lowell asking for a public deposition for Hunter is a smokescreen. It's got nothing to do with the possibility of leaks of testimony.
It sounds good tho with the 'my client is willing to pubicly set a narrative for Schwerin's closed door deposition that follows.'
Oh wait, that's not what Lowell said. Lol.
Lowell wants to avoid a closed door deposition because Hunter's business partner, Eric Schwerin, has a closed door deposition several days later. Any testimony in the 2 depositions that is at odds could be subject to scrutiny.
A deposition is an entirely different matter than a public appearance before a Congressional committee and Jamie Raskin, who is on the committee, knows full well that a closed door deposition is normal procedure. If a public appearance before a committee follows, so be it.
