President Donald Trump on Tuesday told CNBC that he will gratefully “remember” U.S. companies that do not seek refunds for the tariffs he unilaterally imposed

What’s the point of corporate tax cuts? Why doesn’t he raise corporate tax rate and tell companies how grateful he is…

It's amazing how easily you can find video of almost all of Trump's inner circle talking about how horrible he is. Sell outs.

Tucker can still drag some of MAGA with him. I get your point, but I'm willing to take yes for an answer on this.

Short answer: No—this post is misleading and mixes inaccurate claims with political framing.

Here’s what’s off:

* “The U.S. Senate gave a green light”
The United States Senate does not directly approve specific mining projects like that. Mining permits are handled through federal agencies (like the Forest Service, EPA, etc.) and environmental review processes—not a simple Senate vote.
* “Chilean billionaire”
This is likely referring to Andrónico Luksic, whose company Antofagasta plc is involved in the proposed Twin Metals project. That part has some basis, but it’s being framed for impact.
* “Mine next to the Boundary Waters”
The project (Twin Metals) is proposed near, not inside, the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. The proximity is controversial, but wording like “next to the most visited wilderness” is meant to amplify concern.
* “Ore would be sold directly to China”
There’s no clear evidence of a guaranteed direct pipeline to China. Minerals like copper and nickel are globally traded commodities; they don’t typically get pre-assigned to a single country like that.
* “The public was completely cut out”
That’s inaccurate. Projects like this go through environmental reviews, public comment periods, and legal challenges—in fact, this specific project has been debated for years and has gone back and forth across administrations.

⸻

What is true

* There is a controversial proposed copper-nickel mining project near the Boundary Waters.
* It has been politically contested, with different federal administrations supporting or blocking it at different times.
* Environmental groups and some politicians strongly oppose it due to pollution risks.

⸻

Bottom line

This post is political messaging, not a neutral summary. It exaggerates:

* the role of the Senate
* the lack of public involvement
* and the certainty of where the minerals would go

If you want, I can break down the current status of the mine (it’s changed multiple times in recent years).

"Gender bias in firing incompetent cabinet secretaries is not the most important indictment of the Trump administration. But it’s worth noting. And it’s also worth stressing that the problem isn’t that he’s fired the women. The problem is that he hasn’t fired the men." -- William Kristol

president Donald Trump has now been in office for about 15 months, and his numbers keep getting worse. Our latest Strength In Numbers/Verasight poll, conducted April 10–14, finds just 35% of U.S. adults approving of his job performance, with 61% disapproving — a net approval rating of -26. That’s a new low in our poll, down from -23 last month and a steep fall from (an already poor) -16 when we first began tracking this question in May 2025.

We also found that 40% of Americans say they do not understand the main reasons the U.S. went to war in Iran in the first place, with 18% responding “not too well” and 22% saying “not well at all.” Only 28% say they understand the reasons “very well.”

Of the 28% who said they understand the reasons very well, 33% said the objective was “regime change”, 27% said “stop Iran’s Nuclear Program”, 20% said “take the oil”, and 20% said “not sure”

The point is he has recently fired at least three incompetent women. No problem with that. They should've been canned sooner. The problem is there are at least three men that are just as incompetent.
