Fuck, we all he’s a crook and a creep, back to your regular programming. 7 straight months of declining jobs numbers.

https://x.com/twandaandr165/status/2006278598827917736?s=46&t=taZJ_d5ITWr6Hq3PUZDUiQ

I read something on why we have strong economic growth of more than 4%, but job growth is lagging behind. I'll look for it, but meanwhile, off the top of my head; fwiw:

*Trump's economy is top heavy, benefiting the wealthy, not trickling down.
*The success of his inhumane anti- immigration policies has created a labor shortage.
*Massive layoffs of government workers.

US poised to end 2025 with the largest one-year drop in homicides ever recorded: Experts

https://abcnews.go.com/US/us-poised-end-2025-largest-year-drop-homicides/story?utm_social_handle_id=28785486&cid=social_twitter_abcn&utm_social_post_id=638612823&id=128646976

I voted for this.

This is another one I want to get back to. It looks like this is nothing more than a continuation of a decades old trend.

Homicides did increased  during the pandemic, but already declined sharply the last few years.

The question is, why have homicides been declining over the last 30? years or so?

A big one is the aging of the population.

Questions:

Why are gas prices this low?

What do oil prices look like in the near term?

What is the impact on domestic producers if oil prices drop and remain below $60 per barrel
Those would be good questions to ask the working poor who rely on a car to get to work, take their kids to school, go to the grocery store, the thrift store and other places.

Under Biden's immigration policy people were suffocating in semi trailers, people were downing in the Rio Grande, women have been raped and murdered and unaccompanied kids have been lost to list a few humane immigration practices under Biden.
Some Afghan dude walked up to a uniformed service member, aimed a pistol at her head and pulled the trigger. And also tried to murder a couple of uniformed members with her.

As for the govt workers, I suppose they can learn to code. And one would think they'd be able to find employment somewhere if they don't think coding is suited for them.

And the many who can’t afford a car and take Ubers!

JFC Custard is off the deep end. He’s gone full Trump cult. He’s a “moderate,” just ask him!

I don’t really care about politics or politicians; I care about policy and facts.

Maybe we should upgrade our public transportation systema and urban planning so the working poor don't have to rely on private automobiles?

Why do you disagree with what the experts are saying ?

Suddenly you agree with experts? That is a start. I don't disagree. I wanted to go over the reasons for the decline in homicides when there is time.

First, all experts agree homicides have been declining for decades, except there was an increase during the pandemic. Then there was a big decline the past few years.

I gather you believe the decline the past year was due solely to something or other Trump did. Experts disagree. They cite many reasons for the long range trend.

AI Overview
Homicides in the United States have seen a significant and historic decline in recent years, following a nationwide spike during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data through late 2025 indicates the U.S. is on track for its lowest murder rate since the 1960s.

Key Trends

Historic Drop: The U.S. is poised to end 2025 with the largest one-year drop in homicides ever recorded, projected at nearly 20% compared to 2024.

Multi-year Decline: This follows previous significant decreases of approximately 15% in 2024 and 13% in 2023.

Yes. Bad things happen. Some involve foreigners. Bad things involving them happened when Trump was President the first time. Also, during the terms of previous President of both Parties.

None of that has anything to do with my post. We seem to have economic growth without job growth. Why?

One reason might be the success of Trump's draconian immigration policies.

Almost 2 million have self deported. Another 600,000 plus  have been forcibly removed. New ones aren't coming. The ones still here are laying low -- don't have a number on that.

Right how there are at least rumblings about labor shortages in the agriculture, services, and construction industries.

I’m not super convinced you actually care about facts

The 2025 drop was still the largest ever recorded. And considerably larger than the previous 2 years.,

I noticed that you skipped the fwiw parts of your post about Trump's inhumane immigration practices and govt workers.
Biden oversaw a bigger growth in the federal workforce than any presidential term in the last 30 years.
59% of Minnesota's job growth from Sept 23-Sept 24 was from government jobs.
