Ok people, shut up about "affordability" because our GREAT PRESIDENT has been working hard to BRING DOWN PRICES on all goods, starting on DAY ONE. Grocery prices are WAY DOWN since he returned to office. Just look at the AMAZING WALMART BASKET LIST, which shows that THANKSGIVING DINNER costs 25% LESS than under SLEEPY JOE BIDEN.
Now you get fewer items this year, but you need to EAT LESS anyway. No pecan pie, marshmallows or whipped topping for you.
Take a weight loss pill! MAGA!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.
Love how the article compares everything now to 2020. What happened back then that could have caused a 25% increase in consumer prices? Oh, we pumped trillions of dollars (demand) into a supply strained economy and caused the highest inflation in decades. We also had an entire four year term of a different president in that timeframe.
Things have finally cooled off from all that money printing over the last couple of years and we had to jack interest rates way up to do it. What this article is talking about has very little to do with tariffs, at all.
Most of what I buy regularly is less expensive, not more, than it was 6-8-10 months ago. A few things are higher. Then again, I don’t buy a bunch of garbage from China, either.
If banana prices are hurting your wallet that bad, maybe buy some apples or something we grow here until the the tariff adjustments kick in.
