This Time magazine interview is just fucking wild.
Trump is sort of backed into a corner because things he promised he'd just magically fix are actually getting worse, Putin doesn't give a fuck what he says, Xi doesn't give a fuck about his tariffs, and conditions on the ground - stock market, inflation, etc.. are objectively worse.
When in a corner he tries to go to his Roy Cohn lie/fight routine and make shit up, but this isn't some court case about whether or not his company was racist - he can't get a judge to give him a ruling that will make the stock market go up. And even for stuff like the Kilmar Abrego story, the stuff he makes up isn't even coherent, like he's losing his marbles so the stuff he makes up is nonsense and puzzling, instead of effective subterfuge.
I still say he doesn't last the year. And I predict it will be very weird to the point where it starts to just seem sad. Reagan and Biden were managed by their staffs as they started to decline, their appearances were choreographed tightly, kept on script. For Biden that fell apart because eventually he had to get on a debate stage.
The thing is with Trump, he is losing his marbles but not his temper and his desire to be in the spotlight. So we're gonna get to watch him fall apart on national media. It's gonna make any story about the Democrats "hiding Biden" pale in comparison.
