You’re in full blown denial. They did little to get him elected—not enough to offset that fake Steele Dossiere and other DMV funded election interference and Russia fear mongering you’ve eagerly lapped up but has mostly been debunked and swept under the rug. Putin got much more under Democrats and nothing under Trump. Under Biden’s watch they aligned themselves financially and militarily with our antagonists that are far more dangerous than Russia themselves, but that’s also Trump’s fault apparently. Pure delusion at this point. Still haven’t seen a rebuttal for me saying the isolation pushed them into the waiting arms of China and NK.

Bullshit. The Mueller Report was the tip of the iceberg given how the investigation was completely obstructed by Trump, et al.

NATO in disarray, the US pulling out of Africa and, basically Eastern Europe, the closing of the Soviet anti cyber group, etc., all for nothing that he had to give up on his side (especially since his military is a fraud) is all part of Putin's wet dream.

There are 3 prevailing theories I know of.

He asked the question at least. Just doesn't like the possible answers.

If you think I’m here to champion everything Barack Obama did or didn’t do in regard to foreign policy you’re barking up the wrong tree.
Wanting America to be better is not America-hating, it’s patriotism.

An actual doctor who risked it all to stand up for kids versus a retired government worker on the 5th most popular Illini fan forum. Hmmm
I'm not sure I would put him in the dipshit category. I assume you don't follow him but you've heard his story.

I didn't follow the link. Who is this actual doctor? An antivaxxer?
He's a pediatric surgeon.

Jesus, Mary, Joseph. In case you've forgotten, Trump was in office for 4 years already and Putin didn't do anything like take Crimea or the Donbass regions like he did under Obama and the experienced foreign policy guy.
Donbas was a war zone for the entire period from 2014 - 2020, including Russia directly supporting the Donbas separatists and at multiple points escalating their presence or breaching attempted ceasefires. The Kerch Strait Incident was in 2018.

The reason war re-ignited in 2022 was that Zelesnkyy spent 2021 trying to escalate Ukraine's integration into the EU and NATO. Putin/Russia could not tolerate that idea.

The only reason the White House resident matters is because Obama/Biden were invested in seeing NATO be strong/US-led and Trump is not for whatever reason. Trump's shrewd "diplomacy" in this case is literally just not caring about NATO or Ukraine.

To this day I don't understand how anyone could read even 1/10th of what his folks were doing in the 2015-2020 period with Eastern European contacts and be comfortable with the guy ever running the state department.

We willfully gave up on a war that we'd already won and about a century of foreign policy progress for zero return. Weak, dumb, and impoverishing, but thank God a lady never became President.

Another one of the many dipshits you follow on Twitter.  Custard's like a hopeless addict.  He won't be able to start his recovery and journey back to reality until our country hits a very crashing, painful bottom.

Just mute it.

To paraphrase Tempo paraphrasing Jim Steinman, 1 out of 2 ain't bad.

Always respect your input, but it doesn’t make sense to me. Trump openly wants NATO to be US led and strong, just not with the US bankrolling more than our fair share. Putin didn’t do shit under Trump and has made moves under weak Dem presidents that said all the right things but wouldn’t take on Putin directly. If Obama and Biden cared about NATO and Trump doesn’t, why do the actual results reflect the opposite outcome?

It always boils down to the mean tweets and brusque negotiating tactics with you guys. When other nations are taking advantage of us, sometimes we need to be brusque. I’d have thought you of all people would know by now that’s it’s part of the game.

Cognitive dissonance is difficult. He’ll be ok. We survived four years of Trump before, and we’ll do it again. Unless the Democrat warhawks force us into WWIII with Russia/China/NK to feed the MIC and thwart Trump’s peace efforts. We are well on our way on that front.

Giving up on what war? The one the west and now the east are funding that’s become a focal point of global politics and WWIII by proxy? How long do we fight this stalemate proxy war? Until we are sending troops and more supplies like NK and China? How long does it stay contained to one little area? It’s time to stop it.

Ending the war, getting mineral rights, giving Ukraine some security guarantees, while opening western trade with Russia instead of letting them continue to cozy up to communist far east adversaries is far from nothing.

Still waiting for that rebuttal on my comment about how this whole debacle has accelerated their alliances with China and NK that you openly mocked.

giving Ukraine some security guarantees

LOL. Where are they? Not in that vague minerals agreement.

As for China and NK not respecting the sanctions to get stuff on the cheap? Shocker.

Those impactecd the most by not trading with the Soviets are the Euros, not the US.
