Does this person have more or less The Twotter followers than Tempo? That is the key to credibility apparently.

The cross on the lack of a retainer agreement sounds effective, but apparently was not stressed as one may think it should have been. Maybe they will tie it together in closing arguments.

I hear the jury got some laughs when being told that Cohen didn't talk with Trump on the phone call that theoretically put everything in motion.
He talked to some security guy about getting too many prank phone calls from a 14 year old kid.

Trump's personal lawyer was corrupt? I am shocked!

To convict bad guys you need other bad guys - their associates-- to flip on them.
“Taking a trip? Where to?”  -“Wherever I end up, I guess. -“Man, I wish I was you." -Well, hang in there.”

He pocketed "reimbursement" cash after he felt cheated on his bonus after he took care of the Stormy story. Trump sure knows how to pick 'em.

Wonder why the prosecution did not bring this out on direct if they knew about it. Nonetheless, would think the narrative is going to be that yeah, he was a complete liar and thief, then he got convicted by the feds and has since told the truth and even admitted to his past lying and thieving. What else they going to say?

If Biden were really dark Brandon, this would be excellent 3D Chess. Charge Trump, have the case fall apart when it is found out that Michael Cohen, whom he relied on for years, was a very bad hire. "Trump got taken advantage of by this low level chump - how can we expect him to not get used and abused by Putin?"

I thought the prosecution did bring it up, just not in gory detail.

It's hardly a surprise that in an organization packed with cheaters, thieves, and grifters, Cohen did a bit of all three. In the Trump Organization, it's offbrand if you don't.  The point is, this slimy lawyer is the guy Trump hired to be his fixer.

Will the jury believe the totality of Cohen's testimony especially about the Stormy situation?  We will soon find out, but keep in mind that much of it has been corroborated by other witnesses and documentary evidence.

Nobody, and that may include Merchan, knows what the charge will be. Everyone is assuming the misdemeanors, long past the statute of limitations, will be tied to intent to violate Federal Election law. The FEC declined to pursue, Vance declined to pursue and Bragg initially declined to pursue.
The defense wants to bring in a former FEC commissioner and Merchan says that might confuse the jury with sticky things like federal election law and statutes.
The goal is conviction. The jury can not be confused about what the goal is and so the FEC commissioner testimony will be limited.
Robert Costello destroys Cohen's testimony. Merchan ? He says it would be nothing more than hearsay after allowing Daniels to say whatever she wanted to say because that testimony served a purpose. And the convicted perjurer can say whatever he wants because that testimony serves a purpose also.
Unless 1 or both of the 2 lawyers on the jury has/have been paying attention you will probably get the conviction everybody wants fairly soon. It will get reversed on appeal but the Dems will have their talking points until the election. And Biden can then also say that he won't debate a felon.

Clinton was found to have violated federal election campaign law. Fines, tho no court cases or felony charges, were imposed.

The issue is whether they obscured what the payments were actually for in their books.

=Robert Costello destroys Cohen's testimony.=

Whatever use the defense thought Costello had was flushed down the toilet by his courtroom antics.

All his testimony dealt with a time before Cohen flipped. We shall find out what the jury thinks about that.

And is that a misdemeanor past the statute of limitations ?
And what does Daniels testimony have to do with it ?

""I want to discuss proper decorum in my courtroom," Judge Juan Merchan said to Costello,"

It's his courtroom but his comment appears to be a bit stretched.
