Went shopping today. Milk is $2 a gallon, eggs are under $2 a dozen, filled up with regular unleaded for $2.69.
Commodity prices are low, so why is all the stuff at the grocery store made from them still relatively expensive? (cereal, processed ready to eat junk)
Beef is expensive because demand is high and the supply is at a 70 year low. Usually when the economy is bad, people quit buying expensive beef. Chicken and pork are dirt cheap. 🤷🏻♂️
Bought strawberries and some other produce today, so someone is picking them.
