Hey man I gave you 2-3 weeks to get your shit together and open a forum on Illini Report. I thought to myself, “Rob deserves it for all his hard work and effort covering the Illini, I want him to have it and get some clicks out of it.”

But time passed and nothing happened and everyone was struggling with the reddit format so I took 2 hours and $35 and made a half-assed forum for half-assed Illini fans. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I did manage to get the free HTTPS thing. That was a pain in the ass.

The LK dog got one of his tech guys to investigate fora plugins, but he encountered the same problems I found.

It would be nice to have a forum with embed capabilities. I don't know why this web thing is so difficult, but obviously being 29 years old it's probably some millennial bullshit.

I’ve spent some hours this week trying to get this figured out. I paid for, downloaded, and installed the mod, but it’s not working correctly. I’ve been back and forth with customer service about 50 times. I have a golf forum I started in 2013 on this exact same platform with the exact same mobile mod installed the same way with the permissions set the exact same way. When I enable it here it renders something that looks kinda like Tigerboard.

On my other site it’s worked flawlessly for years. I literally told the customer service rep today I’d make them an admin account if they’d just come and get it working for me then I’d delete the account once they were done. I haven’t received a response yet. I’m flummoxed.
