The team that was "supposed" to win did...couldn't hit the broad side of the barn tonight. Defense had no answer for Ivey, the home team played like a 3 vs a 13...enough, move on and regroup. No choice now but to go into every game not taking the first punch but delivering them.

Not sure they were supposed to win by that much...especially after being down by 2 at half.

On a delay just finished. Man we got our ass kicked there in the second half and actually much of the first half.

The difference, a top 5 NBA draft pick guard. That dude killed us, but that was sort of expected.

We have Kofi but we know he gets neutralized against teams that have their own top bigs. Purdue, Zona are two prime examples. Curbelo and Frazier and DW are a huge step or two down from Ivey.

Surprised we haven't tried two bigs at once. With Benj playing better defense of late, and a sub-par Payne at least showing he can do some stuff right against smaller guys. Maybe having one or to the other a alongside Kofi couldn't hurt from time to time.

Especially when guard for guard we're getting beat like today. Nice win for PU. They may be #1 soon.

Where’s Grayson Allen when you need him? At least we have Omar Payne.

SMH
I'm surprised that POS hasn't gotten the sheet beat out of him in the Association with the stupid crap he does.

Live by the sword, die by the sword.
7-16 from 3 in the 1st half. 1-10 in the 2nd.
We lost to the best team in the conference, at their house. They have a lot of weapons.

Said Curbelo has practiced only 5 or 6 times this year.

Underachiever called them soft (at rebounding). Where is Tempo's thread about Underachiever throwing players under the bus?

PU did give us their best punch. We didn't punch back, except for BBV throwing a few counter punches.

Sorry to be a negative Nancy, but I just don't see us making a deep run in the tourney. We can't win the big games (purdue and Arizona). I am really getting sick of these long scoring droughts in games. It's frustrating. Is it too much to ask to play 40 minutes of basketball?

We don't stop dribble penetration by quick athletic guards well at all. And we get burned on back cuts for last two years regularly by everybody.
Really don't have an elite on ball defender on perimeter. Couple above average guys but not quick or long enough.

Need to mix it up on D when something isn't working at least for a few sets.
A zone would at least make them respond to a different look.

Purdue is very good.

I thought we got rid of Weber ball years ago?

On a brighter note I like the Melendez kid. Hope he keeps getting more minutes, maybe some of Damonte's.

Did he at least mention how they should hand out a few hard fouls after being down 15?
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.
