Honestly not looking to stir up shit. We’ve been fine without him, but he’s having a pretty good year. Just had 22 and 8 in an upset of Texas. Thought it might be fun to revisit him one more time as his career winds down. I’m sure this thread will go over like a lead balloon. I give it 3-5 pages.

Solid career. Not a star (and definitely not at Illinois like we’d hoped). I still think it’s funny how many downplayed how big his commitment was once it was somewhat clear things were headed south.

I think it's funny how many Illinois fans acted like he should've played like a top-20 recruit out of HS.  You're right, he had a solid career, right about in-line with his recruiting ranking.

He was Mr. Basketball in Illinois and had a great senior year. His commitment was huge at the time.

Yes like almost all our recruits there was some justification given to believe he was actually significantly underranked.  He wasnt.
