A completely arbitrary number of observations from tonight’s game:
Kofi still isn’t quick and still struggles against undersized guys that are. His passing has improved by leaps and bounds but I sure would like to see him work more quickly when he catches the ball against smaller defenders. Sometimes being slower draws more defenders from their assignments and leaves our shooters open for a kickout, but he gets swarmed too often.
Nebraska played good fundamental defense most of the game.
Was nice to see Payne come in and provide some bounce off the bench when things were looking grim. Looked to me like Trent could have fed him at least two more oops off the pick and roll. Made his fros.
Plummer has cooled off quite a bit since that insane stretch he had prior to the Covid pause.
For a guy playing 30 mpg it would sure be nice if DMW could give us a little more…anything…offensively. Big three tonight, though.

Last year it took regulation heroics and OT to beat these clowns in Lincoln, so this team is better without Ayo.
