No. I had some pizza.

Pretty sure it was shit. No one can be positive though.

I can. I also know how to properly use quotation marks.

You know there is such thing as an “indirect quotation,” right?

Yes. Those would be sans quotation marks though.

A direct quotation would use quotation marks.

Yes. Those would be sans quotation marks though.

But quotation marks make it clearer to the reader that another person is being quoted. Congrats on the technical victory, though, They will build statues in remembrance of this day. The day everything at HQ changed. You are the William Wallace of HQ punctuation and grammar usage. “Freeedommmm!!!”

That is completely disingenuous and not a "technical victory[.]" You are not directly quoting someone when you indirectly quote them.

You are sowing confusion when you do what you claim makes things clearer.

I actually take more umbrage at your position on directly quoting indirect quotes than your views on any other issues.

Lol

Hey man, “you got me!” Hope I didn’t offend anyone with the use of quotes there. I prefer to use quotations instead of the quote function, delete; delete, delete. I’ll probably still use quotes from time to time. You can get over it or not.

I admit to not knowing the rule. I also think it’s easier than using the quote function and deleting all of the excess crap that isn’t pertinent. But hey, congrats on this YUGE victory!

If you change your ways, that will be a major victory for all of us at HQ2.
