What is the point in quitting smoking if non-smokers can and do get lung cancer, etc?

It is a perfect analogy. A beautiful analogy.  Maybe the best ever. It is called reducing the risk. Wearing a mask, double masking, social distancing, vaccination all reduce the risk of getting and spreading the virus.
