I just gave blood

I give blood several times a year, but it just dawned on me…how do I know they’re not just turning around, and giving that shit to vampires?

Here, I’ll try to pick it up a little.

Tempo, I admire you for giving blood. It’s important. I do it every once in a while, but my type is B-, so it isn’t in huge demand.

My son is O-.  The Red Cross knows this. They won’t leave him the fuck alone, lol.

They were calling him twice a day. His phone and our home phone. I finally told them that if they didn’t stop calling, I was filing harassment charges. It was that bad.

He's lucky and probably rarely gets sick.  I have an older sister, late 70's, with O- and she apparently got the Rona in early 2020 but never knew until she gave blood months later.  Zero symptoms and not contagious and never infected her vulnerable husband.

Funny you should mention that.

He doesn’t get sick often, although he came home from college this past Tuesday. By Friday evening, he was feeling like shit. He went to bed early, got up Saturday morning and felt awful. 101.4 fever. I was like, oh great. He picked up the rona.

So, he went Saturday and got tested. Got the results today. Negative for rona, positive for influenza A.

Funny, I’ve never said, oh thank goodness, it’s just the flu. Lol
