I mean he kind of did with all the de-commits, transfers, recruiting and so on and so forth, in the first two years.  You remember all that?  Cuonzo supposedly "owning" us?   I know he mentioned numerous times that he had to completely 180 turn some players attitudes around and rebuild the entire culture, those that didn't want to do that were shown the door and a lot of fans bitched and moaned about it at the time.

Trent Frazier a facilitator in more ways than one....without Trent and to some degree DaMonte, this ship would never have turned around imo.

I think he probably did what most coaches do when they inherit then turn around a struggling program.

The first two years where he purposely tore a perpetually mediocre program down to the studs .....
Trent and DaMonte ?
Still hiding behind innuendo and practicing the art of ommision.

Making wholesale changes seems like an obvious starting point for any coach taking over a struggling program, but I guess “ripped it down to the studs” sounds more heroic.

You’re arguing over Davis vs Cockburn, which is somewhat subjective. So I can maybe see you arguing it.

Point was, every new coach is going to make changes and install his own culture in a struggling program. It wasn’t an extra Herculean task taken on by Underwood. It’s something literally every coach would do.

Davis vs. Cockburn isn't even a real debate.

"Ripped it down to the studs" and "Made wholesale changes" mean exactly the same thing.

Yes, almost every coach taking over for a failed coach attempts a rebuild.  Not many of them succeed to the degree that Underwood has.

People who have opinions that count more than yours and mine disagree

"Ripped it down to the studs" and "Made wholesale changes" mean exactly the same thing.

Again, it’s something literally every other incoming coach would have done. Just sounds more badass

That was never the point of contention.

No, the point of contention was that he said "ripped it down to the studs" instead of "made wholesale changes", hahaha
