Pre-consussion Andre is a unique talent at a position where we are thin. Having him available (and healthy) absolutely gives this team a much higher ceiling if he’s used and coached correctly. Anyone thinking otherwise is a Moran.
The Curbelo we saw earlier (particularly in the Marquette game) was a player we’ve never seen before and never want to see again. I’m hoping this is a combination of Andre’s welfare and a team building exercise.
Thing is Plummer or Frazier have to be on the bench if Curbelo is in. You wouldn’t want to play all 3 of those guys at the same time. But you def want Plummer to play as many minutes as possible right now.
So it comes down to thinking whether you believe Frazier or Curbelo is better. Frazier is far better on defense and outside shooting. Curbelo is better at creating shots for Kofi.
Since even with Curbelo out, Kofi has still gotten plenty of touches - I think the team is far worse with Curbelo in the lineup and 1 of Plummer/Frazier/Grandison (if you were to play all 3 guards at once) on the bench.
