Of course we run it through Kofi. But,
you have to take them to make them and it helps to have the guys out there shooting them who can make them the most.
It is simple math and metrics.

And if we take them it helps Kofi do his thing.

It will be a different guy or guys every night.  Kofi will get his 19 ppg.
And we will get 27 to 36 from three.
Decent formula to win most games.

But you can't make 9 to 12 threes if you only take 15.

We don't get to the line or attack off dribble well enough to manufacture points those ways enough.

It's Kofi and the 3ball.
Curbelo needs to facilitate.

Granted Plummer/Frazier is the same offensive player but the best offense is probably Curbelo/Plummer/Frazier/Hawkins/Kofi.  Very small backcourt, likely terrible defensively, but an offense that can be lots of 3s and Kofi layups which is what you want

Defense is going to be bad compared to last year bc Miller/Ayo were 6’5 long rangy athletes and replacing those 2 with much smaller guards is going to for sure hurt.

That was the first game I turned off before it was over in quite some time. You could just tell we weren’t going to make any kind of a run. Cincinnati is exactly the kind of team we struggled with last year.

After we went up 23-8 and they called timeout and started swarming Kofi and jamming the pick and roll it felt just like the Loyola game to me. But with better athletes.

There are a lot of good players on this team but outside of some spurts here and there we don’t look like a team yet at all. The staff has to get some more wrinkles into the offense because some teams will be able to take away our pick and roll and when they do we have to have something else to go to.

I still think this team has a ton of potential but they have a lot of shit to figure out. It’s obvious when watching Purdue (who we’ve handled the last two seasons) returning 94% of their scoring and 100% healthy versus us battling injuries and suspensions to key players and learning to play without Ayo.
