Anyone have insight as to his limited minutes? I doubt he transferred to play 13 minutes in a game, and his minutes going down every game now.
He was at 28 mpg and scored 13.6 ppg while shooting 38% from three last year. Hit 64 threes and 2.6 per game.

I do see that Hulka is on his Damonte thing again until he once again figures out that net impact.

We had a shit game at Marquette all around, but only had one actual legit shooter/scorer on the floor in Trent much of the game.

Two TOs in those 12 minutes. Worst +/- of anyone on the team.

He's learning to play PG, but has a long way to go. Shaka's boys would have torn him apart.

He doesn’t play defense or get after loose balls. He can’t create his own shot. He’s small. This guard lineup really needs Hutcherson’s length and athleticism and ball handling.

Who is this Hutcherson you speak of?

When does Hutcherson return?
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

I'd expect him to play on Monday.

He didn't shoot well enough in the first 2 games. I candidly would have rather seen the freshmen thrown to the wolves.

We had 26 TOs. Yeah, the other guys were great.

We play  DaMonte and Grandison who can't create a shot. Both average defenders at best.

If he is so bad, why did we take him?
This team has limited shooting and you think Hutcherson is the answer who hasn't been in a live game in years and never at this level??
I hope he is a player but Plummer has proven ability to shoot. We have no other outside threats besides Trent right now.

Sooo, he has a slow start so he is done? He is a shooter and needs to shoot. DaMonte is 5-20.

He’s got a pretty proven track record. Getting Kofi back and being the focus of the opposing defense should help free our guards up for some better looks. This is a team with several new pieces and key guys banged up trying to find an identity without the anchor of the offense.

Plummer won’t produce at the same level he did at Utah, but when we are healthy he *should* be a reliable contributor off the bench as this team comes together.

Illinois can’t afford to have DMW and Curbelo AND Plummer all lay epic eggs on the same night when Kofi and our one lengthy bouncy guard that can handle ball are out.

But holy shit if experienced guys like DMW and Plummer (and the returning 6th man of the year in B1G and All American watchlist PG, albeit banged up) couldn’t handle the pressure the other night, I can’t even imagine what the freshmen would have looked like.

Podz and Melendez clearly aren’t ready to contribute against P5 competition. Goode looks deserving of some spot minutes (which he got Monday) and garbage time.

Hurcherson played this year and landed hard on his tailbone. Looked impressive against lesser competition. I think they’ve been bringing him back as gently as possible given his past injury issues figuring we could probably skate by without him in the early going.

I don’t think anyone could have seen that DEFCON 1 meltdown from Curbelo coming. Not quite sure I’ve ever seen anything quite like it.

I have watched Hutcherson's workout videos and they are impressive and have been hearing about him being a stud in practice for a couple years. Has not played since 2019. I did not see him in the pre season game but did not pay much attention or put much stock in a 70 point win. I am a fan of his, but I like Plummer also.
The +/- thing is odd. Curbelo was a total hot mess in our loss and was +4. Looked like an AAU 7th grader ballhog TO/chucker machine. He is a baller and will be alright.

I guess we will see how the rotation evolves.

I approve this analysis.

I approve this analysis, too. Kinda hope Belo got a cut for throwing the game, tho.
