Does it really matter who the QB is with this O Line and no Cohen?
Exactly. The O Line especially. I said at the end of last season that if they didn’t fix the O-line, nothing else they did would matter. So Pace went out and spent the O-line money on Jimmy Graham and Robert Quinn. And the Bears suck because they have possibly the worst OL in the NFL.

They need to end 5-11 to 100% seal the fates of Nagy and Pace

The Bears are a dropped pass by a rookie RB in Week 1 away from having last place all to themselves.

I predict Pace gets fired and Nagy will stay another year. Lots of jobs will be open (with better QBs in the stable)  this year so I don’t think the Bears job would be very attractive to the better candidates regardless. Theo Epstein anyone?

But they won trade amirite? Anyway; that was never exactly the point. The point was always that they were mortgaging the future on two major unknowns. Matt Nagy and Mitchell Trubisky. Bye, Ryan.

I think Pace is probably gone. Nagy too, but maybe a tad bit “safer.” The uncertainty of “post-Covid” NFL could possibly save their jobs. Nagy and the assistants, anyway.

At best, the Bears look like a team that might luck their way into a one-and-done playoff appearance as a low seed.

Oh man. I must got a hold of some powerful shit to come up with this take.

So anybody wanna see Fitz coach the Bears next year? Sounds like it’s a real possibility.

Seriously? Sounds like wishful thinking for Illinois (and, perhaps, Bears) fans. IMO, very little chance of Fitzgerald taking the job even if offered. He's at his alma mater where he was a star player. There isn't the unrealistically high pressure to win at NW (excluding, perhaps, the MBA & Journalism programs). Northwestern made a huge commitment to its football (and athletic) programs by opening a new $$$$$ facility in @2018. The Wildcats can consistently compete in the West Division. Fitz never played in the NFL. Not sure what your sources are (CBS? Yahoo? National Enquirer?), but don't take betting advice from them.

Google “Pat Fitzgerald to the Bears” and you’ll find a couple sources suggesting/asking/wondering if he would jump to the Bears. The proximity and convenience might be appealing to him. Sounds like Harbaugh might be an option for them too.
