Congrats to Ty Rodgers....looking forward to this kid. 6-7" who can do alot sound like anyone from the past. Lets hope.

Kind of reminds me of hs  class of 1977 Mark Smith from Peoria Richwoods.  Very good athlete. High level lateral quickness. More of a scorer than a shooter.  Elite ball handling and passing skills for his size.

Kid is a baller and is going to be a prototype Swiss Army knife wing. It’s awesome having three top 50 kids in one class.

Dalen Davis from Whitney Young is a nice player, with offer, small in stature for B1G, but he can ball.

2023 Brock Harding a diminutive 6'0 guard from Moline. Plays well against comp, and is Freemans AAU teammate got an offer from Iowa. News is his brother plays baseball at Illinois, so another PG possibly to add (no one committed yet in 2023 for the ILLINI).

Skyy brother coming in 2024, sooooo????

While I am here, there are three candidates for the 12th ride. We already know about Butz.

Zacharie  Perrin is a versatile 6-10 17 year old big from  France. No relation afaik to the late Lonnie Perrin.

6-9 Thomas Haugh from PA graduated and was going to attend prep school, but is receptive to enrolling this fall. The video is dated

He trains with Jordan Delp here in Quad Cities since he was in 4th grade. Delp is one of best in the business and has had several D1 guys in the Big Ten, an AA, and NBA guys.
Been hearing about Harding for years.

I like the Haugh players game a little more than Perrin's truth be told...plus he can grow into a role that is already occupied. Perrin could as well, I just see more upside with Haugh.

Catchings on campus today, Mom says his call on colleges....we have as good a shot based on what he is wanting in the future.

I thought Harding was more of a mid major type? No?

Probably, but might be good fit at Iowa. He is small, but has had exceptional ball skills for awhile.
Iowa doesn't really guard anyone, like to play fast, play open court, play a lot of guys. Will play zone.
And they love having a lot of white players.

If he goes mid major he might have a bigger role. Kind of kid who we would run into that goes off for 25 and 10.

"Although the Illini matter in his recruitment and he’ll be there on Monday, Kanon was born and raised in Indiana, and he said he didn’t really grow up an Illinois fan."

It'd be nice if more of our legacy kids actually grew up fans and wanted to come here as a first-choice.
