Just love the excuses. Maybe a Top 10 team that cannot handle pressure defense (uh, there should be plenty of film on it if Underachiever actually cared to watch it and show it to the kids) and people living in Milwaukee isn't a Top 10 team? Is this Scorat Bored?

Illinois was ranked in that range before Trent, Curbelo, Hutch, and Kofi went down. But you’re right they’re clearly not a top 10 team with no Kofi, Hutch, Curbelo returning from sitting around on concussion protocol only to land on his head again late in MU game, and Frazier missing a lot of time with his shoulder injury. When two of your primary ball handlers are banged up and you’re playing a road game for the first time in ages against pressure D, it’s not unfathomable some shit can happen. I was concerned before this game for these very reasons. Guess no one else has been paying attention which is why I’m AOTC.

Some on here wanna call it excuses, but it’s actual reality everything you’re saying. It’d be different if we were much healthier and I’d be much more concerned. Lose a game and we’re a terrible program and Underwood is the worst coach in college basketball. 🙄

I’m not happy with the loss either, but it’s just one game and without some key players and some banged up and rusty. It’ll be alright.

I thought this was the “deepest team” Illinois has ever had? Marquette was ranked #87 preseason Kenpom btw. So, far from a world beater. Just sayin’.

But Curbelo is apparently the only player who never played in front of a crowd before that game due to COVID. And people in Milwaukee are really mean.

Can't think of 1 player that didn't play at all at another high D1 team, and then came to Illinois and was a contributor. 

This dude from Baylor hasn't played at all there.  Clearly Brad is simply fishing, which is fine since every year will be a new team since nobody has to sit out again.  Still, its better than letting a scholarship sit open.  He can't be worse than Payne
