Have to admit their beatdown of Iowa was a fun game to watch.
They have it going.

I give you an applaud. You provided recruiting information. It's not exactly what this board stands for, but I like learning useful information now and then.

So the Illinois orange colored read on Kofi is that the plan is him trying to convince the world he’s absolutely leaving in order to improve draft stock. When, in reality, they know he’s likely coming back

....the orange Kool aid read on coaches and recruits has been wildly accurate lately if you couldn’t tell.

Kofi coming back solves ALOT obviously, still think the staff needs to find a 4 gem somewhere. Payne-Grand-Hawk may be fine, but Payne is Kofi insurance mostly and neither of the other two are high level 4's that we would all love to have with Belo and Kofi....a third really good option would place us back where we need to be for next year. All said after Grandison started at 4 last year, we went 15-2 I think so....

Yeah, I am pretty sure that Charlton Young is not coming. LOL. They have a monster class of guys coming in and he sounds all in there.
Sounds like Huss was only serious possibility and that is not happening it appears.
Not sure any of other better P5 targets had any real interest at all (Powell, K. Young,Mennenega, Pinkins), but they all probably got nice pay raises out of the deal.
We are down to the B level P5 guys (Bailey, Robinson types), and looking in the bushes for a midmajor potential guy.
We have no real recruiters right now with Chet and Alexander.

I wonder if Brad and whatever staff were selling Guerrier thought they had him? You had mentioned that Brad was thinking they did. He allegedly wanted to play the 3- not the 4.

As for the roster- have no idea why a soon to be 22 year old Kofi would come back.
He needs serious pro training somewhere on his skill deficits. Not going to get it at Illinois but who knows, maybe he will come back.
Should be good for us if some Einstein on staff lets him pass the fcking ball once in awhile.

Tom Ostrom - Indiana, anybody know where he went....shrugs? It is very telling that our spots have not been filled? Maybe the reported $$$ we were offering the old coaches is biting us a bit?

Damn, beat out by East Tennessee State again.

Right....my guess is that when we got the wings we got or were told they would be committing, we laid off this guy? Not sure how much we were actually recruiting him.

His ranking sure states why we would have been, again though?

The 1st year coach has a full staff to
"recruit, develop and teach at the highest level."
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 19, 2021) –First-year ETSU men’s basketball head coach Desmond Oliver announced on Monday the hiring of his entire coaching staff. Patrice Days, Mark Bialkoski and Mantoris Robinson have been named assistant coaches, while Oliver named Lucas Campbell the Director of Basketball Operations and Sunny Park the Director of Basketball Sport Performance.

“I’m very excited to finally have all of my staff on board,” said Oliver. “When I set out to hire this staff, I wanted to find guys that had the ability to recruit, develop and teach at the highest level. We talk about wanting our players walking into opposing team’s arenas and looking like a Power-5 team physically. I’m blessed to say we have a Power-5 coaching staff! We have experienced guys with the highest character who are connected and committed to player development on and off the court.”
