Amazing, amazing where we find ourselves nowadays.....I mean just a little while ago it seems we were all worrying about losing out on 3* athletes and losing out on the high level transfer guys. Thank you ILLINI and Brad Underwood, Whitman, Antigua, Alexander, Tyler Underwood, Crocker and yes even Hamer.

Man this is a glorious time to be an ILLINI fan....this year is gonna be one hell of a ride, I just hope us fans can do exactly what Andrej says they will be doing......having A LOT of fun this year.

Q Coleman is officially signed, welcome aboard young man....now go get yours this year!!

Expect B1G things from the start for this kid. Perfectly happy with him and committee running the team vs a Blackwell coming aboard. If the latter wants to still come obviously you take him, otherwise Q, Vaaks, Morillo, Andrej and Mirk can handle the duties.

We still add one, but Q will be the MAN this year imo!

Ethan and Landon both look like redshirts to me, I could see Landon getting some PT if it were to come about for either though, especially concerning Jakstys and any further injuries etc.

The following year with Brown/Davis/Morillo/Coleman....then Kitt/Martin (27)....we will be B1G men/Euro B1G shopping then.

Would like to "toot" my own horn.....found this in the archives.

April 2021 post. During the Antigua coming back or not period.

The footprint if you will should be capitalize on the diversity which is the University of Illinois student populace and get the international players as we are currently and in the future. I have said for many years, the athletic 6-5/6-10 players, ala, Flying illini type of players, and the general recruiting of international players such as Gonzaga has built there program on is the only 2 ways to go with how the game has changed.

The Flying ILLINI class was well ahead of it's time in type of players, type of game, and of course the shorts also...which by the way the Fab 5 themselves...Webber and Rose specifically has attributted to taking the trend from them.

We desperately need those athletes and the international blend to make this program truly Tops in the land long term.

Roster Configuration as of today:

5 freshman (good start to a solid 27 squad:
Brown, Coleman, L. Davis, Morillo and Zens

4 sophomores:Thinking all may still be here with recent portal entries
Fagbemi, Jakstys, Mirkovic, Vaaks

4 Seniors and thankful we have them all:
The Ivisic twins, J. Davis, Stojakovic

13 slots filled and 2 remaining. BU track record is to hold one back, so 1 more to get from portal. On 3 Website has us still slight favorite over Duke for Blackwell, however so called insiders are calling the dogs off that hunt it seems as we have lost the rabbit.

Who knows in the end.....but we will get one more regardless. I would think it would be one more from the portal.

2027 will have us starting with players left that will be major contributors of 6'7, 6'4,6'4,6'8,6'7 the freshman this year and Jakstys, Fagbemi. Incoming freshman will be 6'6 and 6'5 (Kitt/Martin).

I would fully expect to lose Mirk/Vaaks after this year. We will be hunting B1Gs for the next group.
