i like the height they are now getting.  Seen some of his tape and he looks pretty good.  But can they at least get some 4 or 5 star players please.  They just had back to back pretty good years and recruiting high star players have yet to come.

Takes 4 years to realize the recruiting bounty from a Round of 32 loss.

At this point we have not gotten much mileage out of being competitive again and even getting some national attention this year.

We are not getting any of the prized transfers yet,  and our frosh class are guys who will take time I think.

Storr, from Kankakee.
We stole him from notables such as IUPUI, Chicago State, Illini slayer Austin Peay and Iona.

A lot of people think he was on the verge of blowing up. I think it is better than it looks

Podz should be next I think

My comment was tongue in cheek. Anybody who wants to put on the Orange and Blue is fine with me. I'll hope for the best. There are lightly recruited players every year that become solid players.
Iona is in that list.

He has a good frame already and that is always a good thing.
Well, he had some high major offers in Ole Miss and Va Tech.
He can be either 2021 or 2022 class I guess.
He played with TyTy Washington. Maybe they are buddies.

Hmmm. 6'7" Center. Does not take threes. 6 Rebounds a game.
Have not watched him. He shot 68% from the field though.
Does he have a midrange game?
Looks mobile and shows some hands and ball skills.

can he guard a ball screen?

Didn’t our last class have two top 50 kids including a Mr Basketball and borderline McDAA? This year has two rising wings and the roster is far from complete.

There’s plenty of danger in loading up too early in this unprecedented transfer market, I’d imagine they’re putting some thought and strategy into assembling the roster for the next season rather than just grabbing whoever they can. We don’t even know for sure who is leaving is who is staying.

Both Miller and Curbelo commited before the season started in 2019. Coleman also committed before the 2019 season and was #164 (I like this guy a lot FWIW).

Since we stopped sucking......
Bass, and Storr and Podz are all well outside Top 100. Goode and Melendez are barely inside Top 100.
All will likely take time, but certainly could be good players.

I would say the recruiting is underwhelming at best and we are not capitalizing on the past two years very well so far.

You think we are keeping spots open and don't want to fill up the roster too early???

At this point we technically do not have enough guys to practice.

Our starting lineup would be Curbello, Grandison, Hutch, Jobu, and Hawkins or one of the frosh.
They combined for 18 ppg this year.

I am assuming that changes.

This staff has done well with high rated guys like Ayo, Kofi, Curbelo and even Miller. Give them credit as a lot of highly ranked 4 stars do not do so great.

Have not seen them develop anybody yet in the Top 100- 200 into a surprise high contributing P5 starter.
Alan Griffin was nice off the bench.
Feliz was nice player out of Juco.
DaMonte and Grandison became usable starters.
Giorgi might be best example of guy that was a surprise.

Maybe I am missing someone.

Not a large enough sample size IMO, but there were quite a few kids that didn't work out for various reasons (most of which were probably attitude), which happens
