I think the ability to have a structured system relying on execution will be even more difficult moving forward- but that has been the case increasingly for awhile now with all of the transfers (40%), and early entries by the better players.
In a weird way- there will be more pressure on a program having X's and O's that can be implemented quickly and are effective.
The staff that can find a blend of both consistent recruiting and getting something put in that works will do well.
Its the state of the game and is mirroring AAU really.
at the end of the day sports are entertainment... You are correct in the days of a team sticking together for a long time and actually getting good at basketball and team play are totally long gone... you think the weber era of eye bleeding grinder ball was bad... hooo boy, just wait till every team plays like freshmen all year long since they are not only bad at fundimentals but have no clue what their teammates are doing... yaaay
throw in this NIL stuff and its going to be a fuckin disaster for the sport. Shame really as it was only a matter of time before it got totally tainted by greed and money, this will trickle down to just about every other sport in college and nothing other than money makers will be kept around.
