Stirtz to Iowa seems like the most obvious transfer ever. Freeman to Creighton today as well. Speaking of Creighton, Pop Isaacs is back in the portal. That's a guy to pursue, at least if he's not done injury-wise.

If Ben H is back next year and he's not a ~8th/9th guy we bring in when two 4/5 guys are in foul trouble it's going to be a long season.

Possibly not good enough to play here, but NIU's best player, Quentin Jones, is in the portal. Will probably make a 2nd-half Big East or AAC school happy.

Sencire Harris is ranked as a 4-star on 247 if you want to know how messed up those rankings are.

Nearly forgot about this kid. Here's your typical bigger, faster, stronger story.

https://247sports.com/college/illinois/article/jason-jakstys-redshirt-season-illinois-fighting-illini-basketball-progress-247399288/?

Couldn't read whole article but it said he has gained 30 lbs and Johnson said he can't push him around as easy.

Apparently offered a spot next year but declined over PT and NIL. Good for him if he develops into a solid player but I don't see him on our 2-deep next year.

Don’t want to burn bridges with an NBA GM but glad he’s not back. Colossal waste of a ride and whatever else they gave him. I do think he’s better than he showed here, not sure what was going on mentally.

He was slow, he looked in over his head when on the court, he looked like he was the broken spoke in offense sets due to motion and speed.

He will go somewhere else and make some $$, todays game, but I would think it should be a school that plays a more deliberate offensive game. Yes a huge waste of a scholarship and glad we are freeing that one up.

Well we add Rez to Booth (no big deal), KJ and Riley to the PRO's and possibly Tomi (transfer-PRO), Rodgers (?).

We basically start next year with

White/Boswell (2) Freshman (neither whom will contribute) Jakstys (?), Davis (?) DGL (?), Humrichous (?). More than likely we have a team of 2 returners again and maybe Rodgers to add.

This is like a nightmare, it just keeps getting worse and worse.

Fugg Elite 8, then Field of 32, 2 different formulas to get there. What now? BU better pull some serious magic NOW. Dammit.

On the flip side, this does clear up space to bring in Tomi’s brother

Morez Johnson is officially in the portal....Aghhhh Dammit

https://www.on3.com/news/morez-johnson-illinois-forward-plans-enter-ncaa-transfer-portal/

Not good losing a kid who committed here when he was 16, and then when he finally gets here he has to watch Humbrickhouse throw up bricks game after game. I think Brad fumbled badly here.
