If Hum comes back next year he better be cheap, and we better have enough good pieces that he’s getting 12-15 mins/game max. I think there’s a good chance he could have a significantly more efficient year than he did this year making the big jump up in competition and athleticism. His defense got better as the year went on. Just super streaky. If he leaves and we never hear of him again I’m ok with that too.

I liked when he would post up, he seemed effective at times doing that

This is one of those weird times when I have to really question my own memory on things like this. When I think of Ben posting up I think of this really slow reluctant backdown when he gets a mismatch, and it takes so long and is so awkward that a defender feels forced to come over and help because it’s so abundantly clear he is going to try and back this smaller guy down for 15 seconds. As soon as the double comes, he immediately senses it and does a jump pass without looking to see who is even open before he passes in the .7 seconds he has before his feet hit the ground again.
