Butch Lee coached Orlando Antigua

And someday Brandon Lee will probably coach Gainesville Antigua.

So now that we have 2025 off to a good start (welcome Wagler-Lee) before the season even, where does the program go from here for the next wave? I don't believe either Wagler or Lee will be immediate contributors (few freshman really are), and we won't need them to be if we keep key players.

We have 2 spots still open with an anticipated additional 3-4 with all of them most certainly being wings/forward-mobile center types of need.

Really would like the staff to look at the Sylla kid, who is playing alongside Ahrens at Belle Vista.

Kai Rogers would be a really nice get at size/ability, offers are pretty meh so far, with Oklahoma exception. Porter will be hard to beat imo.

Asher Elson offers are not on par with us imo, size and ability are good, shooter, who would need Fletch and alot more work. Brooklyn NY kid.

Lincoln Williams visit-follow up after offer. What are the chances BU and staff get a verbal/what are the chances he reclass to 2025?

Markell Alston would be a very nice add to the team next year.  Add Ahrens and Sylla from Phoenix, and that would be a very nice class with players at each spot.

Kaspar leaving more than likely
Boswell a senior
DGL a junior

Rest wing players mostly with the exception of Davis and the newbies committed already.

It appears the Ahrens ship might have sailed.

I would hope not, he would be a very good piece to our next puzzle (each year it's a new one it seems), that said Asher Elson out of Brooklyn would do very nicely as well.

This was supposed to be a done deal 2 months ago. There hasn't been any buzz and now he is visiting Boise State.

Maybe he doesn't want to reclass and / or redshirt? Maybe he doesn't want to sit at the end of the bench? Maybe Antigua and IL have moved on? All I know is there was lots of buzz, a local crystal ball, looked like a done deal. Then nothing...

Two months later he is visiting a mid-major.

This could very well be a 2023-24 UCLA-like season bringing in a hodge podge of players from all over the globe and trying to get them to mesh as a unit going into a brutal slate the first two months. I sure hope not, but it’s going to be interesting to watch.
