I’m a sucker for McDonald’s every so often and I have young kids and we are always on the go. If you must go there, use the app. Basically half the price if you use the deals menu. Plus you accrue rewards pretty quickly that are used for free food. I’d never go if I had to pay normal price.

Just looked it up, JCL played 8.2 mpg for KU. That’s barely above scrub minutes.

Averaged 3.7 ppg.

I use the app all the time. Save a lot of money. I am addicted to the breakfast burritos with picante sauce (so good if they are fresh). I pay about half price using the app. And my 9 year old’s favorite meal is a chicken nugget happy meal. I get a free one about every third visit. Sometimes if I’m hungry when getting my kid a happy meal I’ll use the double cheeseburger deal (2nd one for like 29 cents). App is easy to use and save lots of money.

FWIW, I think mostly just, how recruiting works in college has totally changed.

The portal is where you recruit now.  Obviously we still get HS commitments, but it's silly at this point to expect most of your HS recruits to even be on your team for 3+ years.  You can get guys that are more ready to contribute to your team right now in the portal in most cases.

I hope Fears (and Morez Johnson, and Jase Butler, and whoever else) come here and stay 4 years and end up Illini legends, but chances are 50%+ of them transfer and we replace them with guys that are ready to contribute to the team right now, instead of 2 years from now.

He didn’t come in with a ton of hype IIRC. He obviously exceeded expectations by a lot. I thought about mentioning him, but I’m referring to top 40 type guard types. We haven’t had a lot of highly thought of guards come in and meet or exceed expectations in a while.

A lot of truth to that. The portal is just as important if not more important than recruiting anymore.

Illinois has always had really good guards most of my life. The last 12 years definitely the weakest guard play of my memory.

I don’t understand how they’re so good. There are random mornings I wake up craving them and nothing else will do. Probably have a massive insulin and LDL spike after but hey it’s a treat not a daily thing.
