If you mean it on pop composition terms, probably Revolution or Eleanor Rigby.

This would also get my vote for best cover of a Beatles song.

The all-star tribute to George Harrison at the 2004 Rock and Roll HoF Induction Ceremony linked by Custard is also an outstanding Beatles song cover and has been in rotation on my phone for years. Marc Mann's contribution -- he played lead (until Prince took over) -- is often overlooked because of Prince's solo.

Something is as boring, predictable and Middle of the Road as Beatles songs get.
