Chevalier has some nutso ideas, but she’ll have company in Congress among figures like Lauren Boebert, Anna Paulina Luna, Paul Gosar, Gym Jordan, and Andy Ogles.  Cori Bush could also join that group if she wins back her Missouri seat.

I’m more disappointed that Mamdani endorsed her.  Chevalier may have worked as a field organizer for him, and her opponent backed Cuomo in the mayoral race, but I think he may come to regret the endorsement.

If Chevalier proves embarrassing or ineffective, someone will challenge her in a primary in two years.
