Is it about the Cubs allowing Matt Shaw to attend Charlie Kirk’s funeral? Apparently they were friends.

It goes beyond that.

Feels like an AI generated article.

Regardless, love to see loser Cubs fan turn on the family that brought them a World Series win. More proof that self-loathing progressives don’t know how to win.

When I used to go to the Cubs games in the 90's, bleacher tickets were $7, regardless of opponent. Now, they can go for $150, face value, for general admission bleacher tickets. My friend took his family to a Cubs game at Wrigley, he said all in he was out $1500. For a fucking baseball game. I'll spend less going to the Bears Vs Raiders this weekend. Including our plane tickets.

Beers are $17

The Ricketts didn't like the people across the street watching the game from their rooftops or windows, so they erected barriers so the apartments can't see the game.

They won the World Series, jacked up things even more, then traded away or let go Rizzo, Schwarber, Kris Bryant, so now you pay inflated prices for a shitty product. Then they get into a playoff run and let one of their players go to a funeral for a guy that he's not even related to nor was some sort of childhood friend of.

The way the Cubs are run now, Bernie Sanders could be the owner and I'd give them the finger. Harry Carey would be boycotting these fuckheads. I mean, they sucked while Harry was alive but it was a good time and reasonable.

If you're customers are turning on you - are you really running your business like a business?

If people are paying $1500 to take their family to a game they must have plenty of customer demand.

LOL
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

Hey if Murph decides to buy a baseball franchise and run it like UNICEF, great.

How many other ballparks ever had a bunch of private businesses around them selling rooftop seats/suites with hundreds or thousands of fans consuming the product without paying the franchise a dime?

The answer is none. The Cubs situation was a unique one, and they chose to take the same route as every other franchise in the country and monetize access to the games. Not surprised that the board socialists think MLB should be a free public service.

It's far more problematic that "baseball money" is being used to pay down debts incurred for the Schaumburgization of the area in immediately around the ballpark.

But, fuck the Cubs and their fans. They deserve each other.

As the only Sox fan in my entire friend group growing up and throughout most of my life, I couldn’t agree more.

And now a huge part of their fan base thinks it's bullshit and they can fuck off. The existence of the rooftops was part of their product, part of the charm of Wrigley, but Ricketts was too money grubbing.

Compare to the Red Sox, when they decided to alter the major feature of their stadium, they put seats on the green monster and enhanced things.

Thing is, the worst thing the Cubs could do for their business wasn't leaving the rooftops unblocked. The Cubs killed their business model when they fucked up and won the Worlds Series.
