Growing up as a FIP, we took a lot of our family getaways in Wisconsin. My golf buddies have been extolling the virtues of summer weekdays spent in SW Michigan.

I had my doubts but I’ve been convinced. Second trip up here in the last 6 weeks. Now it’s not Heber Valley or Healdsburg, but this place kind of speaks to me.

It’s so close to Chicago that most of the people that come here are from that area, but yet they find ways to keep them from fucking it all up.

It's pretty gnarly there in the winter, with no skiing to offset it. Keeps the interest level tamped down.

The Guardian could not independently confirm this specific claim."

if your canoe trip requires the dam to open up so the secret service's speedboats can accompany you properly - then DON'T DO THE CANOE TRIP.

Water management is a super critical item in the US, opening up dams because you want to go canoeing is bullshit. If the water is high enough for canoeing but not for the service boats, it sort of sucks for you but hey man you decided to run for VP, suck it up buttercup.

Before we even get started on Trump fucking up the Central Valley water system with his stupidity.
