Usually enjoy the Winter Olympics more than the Summer, but I have zero interest in watching the Fucking Chinese Virus Spreading Commie Olympics. Fuck those guys.

I can live with that. Will be a lot harder for me to boycott the 2022 World Cup which should not be in Qatar.

The Olympics are going to be an interesting thing going forwards, they really are a big money sink for the host. So the IOC is going to have more trouble getting hosts who aren't doing it for propaganda reasons. At least the World Cup is wildly profitable for the host (as long as they have existing stadium infrastructure)

I think the permanent sites are an awesome idea. The only problem is it goes against inclusion to let countries host. With the financial drain plus propaganda being spewed from countries like China and Russia, I’m all for a centrally located permanent host. Keeping away from Communist and dictatorship countries. Somewhere that promotes freedom would be the best avenue imo.
