Everything is almost always geared toward the lowest common denominator. There is good 'stuff' on the Internet, but it is getting harder to find. It requires time and effort.

Results based thinking. If you bet on roulette and win, it doesn't mean you are "good at roulette". 

The handle in Vegas was balanced, so the casinos got the vig. That is the goal. So the line was spot on.

Had UConn been favored, the casinos would have done awesome, because they would have drawn more Illinois action based on a UConn minus line. But their goal is not to gamble, it's to balance the action and take the vig.

Was UConn better than Duke? If Mullins missed that shot, was Duke better than UConn?

Vegas set a line that got them equivalent bets. Therefore they set the line correctly. It's that simple.

If you want to call out people for drinking orange kool aid, it's the people who actually bet on Illinois such that the action was balanced.

The purported #1 offense in the country scored the fewest number of points out of the 3 games in Indy.

UConn had 22 offensive rebounds and still had trouble scoring points last night.

Other than Michigan vs Az, nobody shot well in Indy. UConn shot 31% vs Sven's team. Congrats to Sven's team. Their guards were physical and the interior defense did to UConn what they did to us.

The best team won. We were probably the 4th best team in Indy.
But we were in Indy. Bring some guys back, reload and try to get to Ford Field.

It moved a point from 2.5 to 1.5. That means more bets were placed on UConn. It also means people did not believe your analysis of why UConn was not better.

And, I will add, Duke still wound up ahead of Illinois in the final poll.
