More that this flag is now outdated - white guys don't work the soil anymore. Unless you count dudes rocking out to Lynryd Skynrd in their GPS controlled combine.

There are three solid arguments against, but 2 sold ones for.

Was the initial deadline to ratify even valid?

Can a state rescind an earlier vote to ratify?

If the answer to both questions is no; then the ERA passed by Congress in 1972 has met the requirements..

The fukkin President can't just declare it in his last days in office.
His staffers might think it's ok but it doesn't work that way.

OK, it feels like this EO doesn't have the force of law and it's just Biden expressing an opinion.  What am I missing?

The President didn't just declare it. The Congress of the United States passed the Equal Rights Amendment. 3/4 of the States ratified it. 140 members of the House asked Biden to take action.
