Doubtful but the Lakers (any team that has LeCrying James) need low level ($$$) help, since the dollars are already spoken for. Maybe Giorgi gets a chance here?

Great kid.
Have no idea what they are thinking.
Even if he ever learns how to shoot, he lacks quickness, speed,and athleticism to guard anyone at the 4, and lacks
rebounding, hops,and shot blocking skills to play post. 
He is a B version of Krutwig who is really limited also and will struggle to catch on anywhere.

Could be worse things for him but I would guess he could make more and see family in Europe. Average G league is $7500k/month or 35k a year unless he is gets a Select two way contract which I highly doubt.
He will never see the NBA.

I know these kids have dreams but he's insane if he doesn't take his game to southern Europe. Way more money, he has a leg-up on other new players, and better chance at NBA in the future.

He can do that anytime. You think players dream of playing in Europe? Some never get a shot at the NBA and I’d bet most would take less money for a shot if they’ve got it. If it doesn’t work out or he gets cut at anytime he can go overseas and still have that opportunity.

He got a workout. His EU passport by itself probably has a higher market value for a usable basketball player than what he'd make in the G-league.
