You shouldn't. Nobody should.
And nobody should do stupid shit to hurt other people.
I don't care who you are or what color your skin is.
Just don't be an asshole is the golden rule.

Life is really pretty simple.

Yeah! I mean, why should we actively try to change the world for the better? I mean it wasn’t ME that held slaves or made blacks ride in the back of the bus...amirite? We are EQUAL now...amirite, again?

The opinions on racism from people whose lives have been completely unaffected (or even enhanced) by racism are quite educational. Keep those informed opinions coming, fellas.

Sometimes you might want to quit assuming things about others and take a few plays off.
You have no idea about my cultural background, or what I do and I can assure you I speak from a place that is quite well versed personally and professionally in race, class, equality, social justice, and law enforcement matters in our communities.
I spend my time trying to make things better. Talk is cheap.

Has your life been affected by racism? Judging from your OG HQ pic, you're pretty fucking white.

What makes your opinion better or worse than anyone else's?

I'll provide my opinion on racism:  It sucks.  I don't care if you're black, white or yellow.  If you're a human being, you are probably a shitty person in one fashion or another.

Things don't have to be so fucking complicated.

No, my life has not been affected by racism (for the worse anyway). But I: 1) apparently am capable of deeper levels of empathy than many of my fellow whities 2) actually took some time to learn about the experiences of people who look different than me

Why do you say it with parentheses and with a negative connotation?! Like can I be happy with who I am? Why should I go through my whole life feeling bad about myself?

I’m just guessing that if people had been tortured and treated like disposable property for 250 years and then systematically oppressed for another 150 simply because they looked like you, perhaps you’d feel differently?

Don't look now Lkdog, but you're responding to OG HQ bullshit.  Ya know, Tempo trying to tell us that we're all insensitive to racial issues.  See, he's been doing that since the day he wanted Illinois to hire Lorenzo Romar.

Again, I didn't start this bullshit.

Yes, Lorenzo Romar in 2012ish was the backup plan if like the top 4 choices didn’t pan out. You got me.
