That was nuts.
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

That was one of the best finishes I’ve ever seen. The last 20 seconds was amazing!

Who wins the bracket ? I'm rooting for Baylor instead of a Michigan fan winning this thing.
Sorry, Sven. I'm sure you understand.

Custard has won it already.

I think Baylor wins it to be honest. When your road to get here is directional university, Oklahoma, Creighton, USC and UCLA with the last one pushing you to the limit, that isn’t exactly a daunting gauntlet. Their road here was kind of like Illinois road only they completed it and thanks again to Coach Unimpressed for his epic failure.

It’s not just an NC game for Gonzaga, but the undefeated streak as well. That last part almost bit them last game. It should bite them completely against Baylor. All that great WCC competition they’ve faced all season comes back to bite them Monday night.

If I were a betting person, I would bet on Baylor.

Looks to me that if Gonzaga wins, Sven ends up with 970.
Custard has 940.
You probably just don't want to look down in the standings for some reason.

So Custard picked Baylor over Illinois?

Take his homer card away.

UCLA played a great game. Gonzaga actually played very well, also. Might have been the best game we saw all year where two very good teams played at really high level in addition to the first OSU/UM game.
If UCLA had handled the last possession in regulation a little better where they seemed confused as to time and situation they would have won. UCLA turned out to be a very solid team with a kid who was under radar and is now an NBA lock and caught fire last three weeks.

That said- I think Gonzaga held, and that may have been the best opportunity to knock them off.
I think they beat Baylor.

As much as I would like to view them as the Duke of the West and their ability to pick and choose whomever they want from recruits/transfers and Euro players every year- it is hard to not like and respect Few.
I think what you see on camera is real. And he gets kids to stay to build program continuity.

Creighton was the highest rated team they played in the tourney and they were missing players 🤣🤣🤣. That’s a pretty easy road to get to the NC game if you ask me.

Now they face the toughest test of the season and they haven’t seen a team the caliber of Baylor all season. I’m not wavering on this one, I’m sticking with Baylor.

Oh and PS. UCLA just happened to catch lightning in a bottle at the right time as did the entire PAC 12 and kudos to them for that, but at the end of the day they’re not Baylor. Baylor will bring it trust me.

I like Baylor a lot. Toughest team mentally and physically, well coached, balanced, and very talented on both sides of ball.

And I can't stand Timme. Gonzaga has 4 guys who will play in the NBA, though, and are really pretty damn good.
They dodged a bullet last night.
I am leaning toward them.

Haha I said the same thing you did earlier about Baylor being a better version of 04-05 Illini. Said multiple times how I wanted to be on Gonzaga’s side of bracket and not Baylor’s. Three great guards, 6’9” guy like Mayer who can do it all, versatile defenders like Vital and EDJ, team plays suffocating defense. I’ve been saying for months Illinois had a roster that was too traditional and they showed us all year they could damn near lose to anyone.

Back when a bunch of posters were talking shit about Loyola I was mentioning how Krutwig presented problems for us but thought the potential round of 16 matchup against OSU (the Oklahoma variant) would be more likely to trip us. I thought if we got through that we’d handle whoever came out of the other side of the bracket. So I still did the homer thing and had IL winning the region but man the type of basketball Baylor plays is the future and what I want IL basketball to become. That’s why I picked them and didn’t have to think too hard about it.
