Haha that was a like a cat playing with a mouse for 38 mins and just when the mouse thought it actually had a chance the cat snuffed it without hesitation or remorse of any kind.

What a game. So nice to be back in the Champtionship and be relevant after all my years of bitching in this forum.

That is not an easy team to beat. Iowa will go deep in the tourney.

Exactly!  If it has to be neck or head level, then that was the wrong call.  On video it should be easy to ignore the whiplash move that McCaf gave.

I get the flagrant call in real time but what the fuck his arm never got above chest level from any angle I saw and the announcers specifically said it was the obvious call and great work by the officials. If you literally don’t make contact with neck or head how is it flagrant?

Also why didn’t Ayo get the timeout instead it was a jump ball and gave the ball to Iowa?

Iowa is good. We are a clear level above them right now.
Our D and ball movement was phenomenal.

Lets finish this thing off and get ready for a Final Four run..

I think we avoid Gonzaga in FF semi now. We are clearly the #2 team in country.

Yeah we have to be the second best team in the country right now. We’ve won 13 of our last 14 and most quad 1 wins in the nation by far. Regardless of what happens tomorrow.

Don’t see how Michigan gets a 1 seed with Livers out and losing 3 of last 4 against quality competition. I’m sure they will, but it’s bogus. I’d put them on the 2 seed line.

Normally don’t do this but I was casually following the game thread on Hawkeye Report. Apparently opposing teams are supposed to allow the Hawkeyes unfettered access to the basket.

Any, or all, of Garza, Wieskamp, Bohannon or Fran's kid can put up points.
We don't have that luxury, but we play d.
Bucknuts have played 3 days in a row. We need to play like today.

Just watched Garza interview.  He's reasonably articulate with good takes.  No whining from him at all.

Maybe I’m nuts but I still am more concerned about Baylor than Gonzaga. They’re a very tough matchup for us. Gonzaga hasn’t seen a team built and playing like us all season.

I agree about Baylor.  Thankful that we wont' meet them before FF if the seeding/chalk plays out.
