How much leeway does UM have? Watching them today the were slugging until the 2nd half, and I would expect them to go 3-2 the rest of the schedule.
Of course we end on 2 tough games, so 3-3/4-2 are possible for us...and I'd assume every other team in America but 2.
They looked really out of sync in first half on both sides of the ball. Surprisingly Howard can really coach. They made some nice adjustments and the extended ball pressure was impressive. I had not seen that before out of them. They outscored Wisconsin by 20 in second half at home and didn't even shoot well. Scary thing is they have been a little out of whack for awhile even before the Covid thing. The Frosh Center had been hitting a wall, and the transfer PG was cooling off. Wagner is spotty shooter, but makes a lot of plays and his length and ball skills are very high. They were still winning as the other guys are very good and multi skilled also. Brown off bench is nice player. If they start hitting on all cylinders look out. They are a very balanced team and can effectively play a lot of ways.
That said- if we get Curbelo under control again, and get contributions from Grandison, Hawkins,DaMonte, at the 4; and Georgi at 4 and 5 we could be very very good also. Our defense has picked up. I really never worried during the Nebraska game. I kind of felt like we had it but were just coasting. They couldn't guard Kofi or Ayo. Both are playing at higher level than first half of year.
