About 10 years ago, some guy got credentialed for a season. I remember "312" in the name of the entity. I remember nothing else.
He started recording and uploading the postgame press conferences. It had never occurred to me before. He wasn't there the next year.
Then, when I had a camera that could record digital video (probably the little pink one Heather got for a birthday) I made a video called The Mike Davis Mechanism. I uploaded it to the Smile Politely YouTube channel, and put it in a story.
When I next signed on to that channel, there was a message that said "hey, why don't you monetize this video?" It had 6k views, mostly from the Scorat. So I created my own YouTube channel.
Things change every year in covering the team. Some things are closed off now. Some things are better. When I started, they handed out a schedule of media availabilities on Media Day. Nobody told me there was a weekly luncheon. The newspaper guys weren't eager for disruption from websites. Now we get an email the day in advance.
