Not 100% sure I’d want Self over Underwood in 2026. Self won big when being at KU had tons of advantages, like being able to pay players without repercussions. Since the playing field has been leveled he’s been objectively worse than Underwood.

Really, really good hire here.

McDermott leaving Creighton (retiring) Huss already noted to replace, no secret here. St Mary's is promoting their asst as well.

I hadn't realized how hard he's crashed in the tourney recently. He's failed to reach the 2nd weekend in 6 of the last 7 tournaments with the lone exception being the title year in 2022. I thought for sure he had another deep run or two in that time.
