Then why is gas still high?
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

Oil prices back to $70

They told us it would take forever to fall. I told you it would come right back down. AOTC like always.

Well that doesn't matter anyway, because any smart consumer locked in their prices last year.

So U.S. crude oil prices fall because Iran (you know, the country with the “seriously degraded” military) is allowing tankers to exit the Strait of Hormuz?

Despite widespread protests by Iranians against a regime they despised—protests that cost some people their lives—Trump responded in a way that strengthened Iran’s rulers, both at home and across the region.

If you can’t beat ‘em, bribe ‘em. It’s the Trumpian way.

Not many boats are passing through the strait yet really. How are they strengthened?

Because you choose to live in a place where everything costs more than it should. At least murph gets nice weather and some views.

Regular gas is $3.15 around here. Diesel hasn’t come down as much yet.

A tanker in the Strait of Hormuz was reported to have been struck by a projectile on Saturday, the latest escalation of tensions between the U.S. and Iran in recent days following an interim agreement to end hostilities in the region.

Do your neighbors consider $3.15 cheap?

Well, they probably do since your neighbors are also “fake southerners”. Go ask the people at Buc-ees if they feel $3.15 is cheap

The prices being referred to are futures, not spot prices. Those are more a function of how drunk random traders at the CBOE are than actual conditions on the water. Trump says he signs an agreement, prices swing - but that doesn’t redirect actual progress of oil to market

Don't be obtuse.  Oil markets are responding less to the number of tankers leaving the strait than to reports that Iran is allowing them to pass.
https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/oil-edges-lower-amid-resumption-strait-shipments-even-vessel-hit-near-oman-2026-06-26/

Under the MOU, Iran’s leaders receive sanctions relief, recognition of their control over the strait, and the potential for a $300 billion reconstruction fund—without agreeing to any democratic reforms.  The revolutionary guard, which controls large segments of the Iranian economy (including oil and petrochemical industry) will decide how the funds are spent, not the people of Iran.

Iran’s military said it had launched strikes against U.S. targets in Bahrain and Kuwait early Sunday local time, the latest barrage in a flare-up of tit-for-tat hostilities that began on Thursday and has threatened to undermine negotiations to end the Iran war.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps said in a statement carried by the country’s state media that it had struck eight American targets, at a U.S. naval base in Bahrain and the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait,

I live in a place where gas was a dollar cheaper before Trump’s idiotic war.
