Just being considerate of the younger fella's feelings.

And this after beginning with an article by David Delay and Lisa Graves about what they perceived as racism, not pernicious racism, on the part of the Chief Justice where they asked the reader to view Roberts as a racist.

The authors never called Roberts an overt racist.

Pernicious racism is basically what liberals refer to as white privilege.

Pernicious is used in the sense of causing harm in a subtle, implicit, covert, or gradual way. Pernicious racists don't think they are racist.

On May 10.

You:

"..... the gist is clear in the first few paragraphs.."

Me:
"Yep. Clear. It's the race card.

The authors don't actually say that Roberts is a racist, they write to allow the reader to conclude that maybe Roberts is a racist."

You've done exactly what I said Daley and Graves wanted readers to do in their Slate article.
Daley and Graves can shove their Slate article up their asses.

I don't need the Sate article to tell me that the Chief Justice fits the description of a pernicious racist. It does do a good job of illustrating the point. For heaven's sake, he was raised in a neighborhood where no blacks or Jews were allowed. He attended an all-white private school.

And that was in the correct thread. How did this get in this thread?

You read the article and promoted the article just as the authors hoped you would.
They're the cowards who wouldn't go out on a limb to label Roberts a racist. They were hoping you would do it and you obliged.

You called Roberts a racist, then a possible racist and now reduced it to 'he fits the description of a racist.'

"For heaven's sake, he was raised in a neighborhood where no blacks or Jews were allowed. He attended an all-white private school."
So.

You aren't very good at picking up on sarcasm. Maybe I should use /s, but I feel like it ruins the effect. "Fits the description" should be obvious.

I never called the Chief Justice a racist per se. I qualified it. Also, I used the slate Article to make my point. They didn't use me. So shove THAT where the sun don't shine.

Also, you imported this from the other thread as a straw man ad hominem.

You started with the Slate article, saying "Not a bad read. A little long but the gist is clear in the first few paragraphs."

Their gist was clear to me. You then moved on to try to 'make your point'.

You say you never called the Chief Justice a racist per se.
"The point was Roberts is a pernicious racist, not an overt racist"

Roberts lived in a neighborhood ............
Roberts lived with his parents in the house that his parents owned.

I don't know if the balls n strikes guy is racist, but he seems determined to take the country backwards.

My problem is Roberts wants to return to the divine right of kings in the guise of the unitary executive theory, coupled with the presidential immunity decision.

30-year Treasury yield tops 5.19%, highest since before the financial crisis

Custard can bloviate however he wants. Trump is now officially worse than even George W Bush on the most important economic metric
