You said the aid has been requested. I assume you have evidence of that ?

Why was FEMA there doing damage assessments if Pritzker didn't seek assistance?

You missed the point that time too.

The point was Roberts is a pernicious racist, not an overt racist. It is actually kind of normal in a way for a person with his background. It's a problem that has to be overcome  vis self awareness and appropriate effort.

Note that Roberts recently ruled that racial gerrymandering violates equal protection. Yet, in 2019, he ruled that political gerrymandering is just fine.
Got it. The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court is a pernicious racist because it's normal for people like him to be a pernicious racist.

And wtf does political gerrymandering have to do with gerrymandering that divides people by race.

SPRINGFIELD–In order to verify damage from the storms and tornadoes March 10-11, preliminary damage assessment (PDA) teams will go door-to-door on Wednesday, March 25 through at least Thursday, March 26. These teams will include representatives from the Kankakee County Emergency Management Agency, Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

PDA teams are surveying details of damage to homes and possessions, particularly losses not covered by insurance “We have seen that many Kankakee County residents and businesses are dealing with serious storm damage,” said IEMA-OHS Acting Director Theodore (Ted) Berger. “To understand the full impact, teams need to document damage to homes, personal belongings, and businesses. Information from this damage assessment process will validate data to inform next steps related to eligible assistance programs.”

It seems FEMA was in K3 county March 10-11 to do damage assessments.

What even the fuck

“Food bank line, trumps economy bad”

“Maybe they are from the tornadoes because Pritzker didn’t ask FEMA for aid”

“Citation showing preparation for FEMA request”

“That doesn’t mean he actually requested the money”

“Citation showing the request was made”

“AHA! You admit the food bank line is not due to Trumps economy! Checkmate!”

This is not rocket science.  Changes in SNAP eligibility, new work requirements, higher food and gas prices, and stagnant wage growth are all playing a role.  And throw in an occasional local weather-related disaster.  This equates to an increase in the number of people facing food insecurity issues across the country.

ofc

I just accidentally deleted a reply. One thing. Racial gerrymandering in general has been illegal for decades. The general exception is when it used to correct past wrongs and increase minority representation.

Political gerrymandering can be a covert form of racial gerrymandering if the intention is to dilute the minority vote.

More on pernicious racism, read the Slate article. It doesn't use the same terminology, but it's a good description.

Get the memo.

Groceries are cheap. Gas is cheap. People are all getting rich. Climate change is a hoax. Those people were in line to donate because they are so rich and well fed by dear leader.

They can volunteer at the food bank to meet the new SNAP requirements. And then get in line.

The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court is possibly a pernicious racist. It's a normal condition for people with his background. See the Slate article.

👀

Pernicious racism refers to the subtle, deeply entrenched, and harmful attitudes or systemic frameworks that perpetuate racial inequality and prejudice. Its ongoing damage affects mental and physical well-being and restricts equal opportunity across modern society.

Key Characteristics

Systemic and Endemic:
Sociologists and institutions note that racism remains embedded within historical, social, and economic structures.

Psychological Harm: The chronic stress caused by racism-related trauma negatively affects mental health, cognitive function, and physical well-being.

Ideological Myths: Researchers like Eduardo Bonilla-Silva highlight how modern racism is often rationalized through "colorblind" or meritocratic logic, concealing underlying inequalities.

ISociological Research: Research published in journals like Sage Journals explores how universities and academic settings act as predominantly "white spaces," limiting accessibility.

Global Perspective: The United Nations highlights how the legacy of historical colonialism and enslavement continues to produce pervasive societal injustices.

Terminology (like "Caucasian") function as a social origin myths.

Fake news. Pritzker has requested federal assistance. Approval is pending.

I'm still waiting for evidence that a request for FEMA aid has been submitted.

And approvals aren't granted if nothing has been submitted to FEMA for aid.
